The 60 Second Power Charge

The promoter is FAB Radio Ltd (trading as Magna Radio and Magna Mix), based in Lincoln.

The competition is sponsored by Joe Solar, powering your future with solar energy.

• Open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
• One registration and one entry per person.
• Staff of FAB Radio Ltd, Joe Solar and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
• Winners must be able to receive the prize installation at a UK address suitable for the equipment described in the Prize section.

Registration opens on Monday 10th August 2026 and closes on Thursday 28th August 2026 at 23:59 UK time. Register on this website via the entry form on the competition page. A valid name, email address and phone number are required so that we can contact you if you are selected as a qualifier.

Registered entrants may be selected at the promoter's discretion and invited to play a 60 second phone quiz with Chris Marsden on air. Anyone who scores 7 or more correct answers earns a place on the Power Grid leaderboard. Selection is not first-come first-served and no representation is made that every registrant will be called.

Qualifiers on the Power Grid will be invited to play off in the live final on Tuesday 1st September 2026 during the breakfast show. The winner is selected during the live final. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

One winner receives the ultimate £10,000 clean-energy package, featuring sleek, all-black Aiko solar panels, a massive Sigenergy inverter and 10kWh battery, an EV charger, plus pigeon protection and full export certification so your grid pays you. The prize is supplied and installed by Joe Solar. There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable. The prize is offered subject to survey; if the winner's property is unsuitable for installation, Joe Solar will work with the winner to agree an alternative package of equivalent value.

The promoter reserves the right to amend any date in these terms, including the registration open date, the registration close date, and the final date, at its discretion. Any date change will be published on this page and on the competition page.

Your name, email and phone number are used only to run this competition, contact qualifiers, and confirm the winner. Marketing opt-in is optional and unticked by default at the point of entry; if you tick it, we will contact you with news, competitions and offers from Magna Radio and Magna Mix, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Your details are not shared with Joe Solar unless you are the winner, in which case the installer needs your contact details to arrange the survey and installation. The winner will be announced live on air on Tuesday 1st September 2026. By entering, the winner agrees to have their first name and area named on air and on the Magna Radio and Magna Mix websites. If a selected qualifier or the winner cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and re-award it.

By entering you agree to these terms and to any reasonable directions from the promoter or the sponsor. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, in breach of these terms, or otherwise against the spirit of the competition. English law applies and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
