Fresh fish returns to St John’s Market as new seafood trader opens as a new fishmonger serving up old favourites and a range of exotic fish and seafood prepares to open in the heart of Scunthorpe Town Centre.
Saanvy Fresh Fish & Seafood [https://www.facebook.com/Saanvyseafood] will officially open on Tuesday 19 August on the market’s ground floor, bringing a wide range of fresh fish and seafood to shoppers from Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm.
Run by owners Mathy and Saranya, the business marks the return of a full-time fishmonger to the market and will offer popular favourites including cod, haddock, salmon, sea bass, sea bream, hake, plaice, lemon sole, monkfish, mackerel and tuna.
Customers will also be able to choose from a selection of Asian and exotic fish including king fish, pomfret, trevally, mullet and pangasius, alongside seafood such as squid, king prawns, king crab and mussels, whilst seasonal products will also be introduced throughout the year.
Councillor Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We are delighted to welcome Saanvy Fresh Fish & Seafood to St John’s Market.
“The return of a full-time fishmonger is fantastic news for the market and town centre. It gives shoppers even more choice while supporting our thriving community of independent traders.”
