Families are invited to enjoy a day of free autumn fun when Spalding Pumpkin Festival returns to the town centre on Saturday 3 October from 11am to 3pm.
The festival will bring a packed programme of free activities, entertainment and seasonal attractions to Hall Place, Sheep Market and the Market Place.
At Hall Place, visitors can enjoy live music throughout the day, see amazing pumpkin sculptures created by Jonathan Nicholls, and take part in a variety of free activities.
There will be pumpkin crafts and decorating with Kathleen, Liz and Transported, face painting and balloon modelling from Lincs66, and cupcake and biscuit decorating with Cook Stars. Visitors can also meet the festival's walkabout entertainers and stop for a photo.
Children are encouraged to enter the Harvest Fancy Dress Competition, with judging taking place at the Hall Place stage from 12.30pm.
Those aged 13 and over can enter the Pumpkin Carving Competition by carving or decorating a pumpkin at home and bringing it to Hall Place by 1.30pm for judging. The winner will be announced shortly after.
There will also be a range of food vendors at the event, alongside the many cafés, restaurants and takeaways available across the town centre.
At Sheep Market, visitors can browse seasonal market stalls, enjoy free rides on Tooley's traditional children's carousel and take part in free activities from Joker Entertainment, including a ball run challenge and vegetable critter making.
A pumpkin display from Tyrrells Farm will also provide the perfect backdrop for autumn photos.
Visitors can also explore the regular Saturday Market in the Market Place, which will be running as normal throughout the day.
