What a morning on the show! We kicked things off with Found It, and this week's twist is that every question has a real numerical answer, and your job is to add them all up. Today's three were: how many original copies of the 1215 Magna Carta survive (four), how many Lancaster bombers took part in the Dambusters raid in 1943 (nineteen), and how many years Queen Victoria reigned (sixty-three). Add those together and you get 86. A good chunk of you were close, but Harry in Mablethorpe, Yvonne in Nettleham, and Karl in Doncaster all landed bang on the money. Well done to all three of them!
Then we had Topical Tune, where I put a news story to you and asked which song best sums it up. Today's story was the research suggesting that running slowly for just ten minutes can help you think faster and feel happier. Brilliant suggestions came flooding in. Geoff in Candlesby went for Happier by Marshmello and Bastille, Dave in Lincoln picked Running To Standstill by U2, and Fiona in Heighington suggested Nice and Slow by Usher. Chris in Newark nabbed second place with Take It Easy by the Eagles, but it was Gina in Boston who took the top spot with Slow by Kylie. Hard to argue with that one, honestly.
